Golden Glow Smoothie

August heat. Fiery mornings. Full schedules. Big energy.
This is Leo season in all its bold, glowing glory—and while that fire can fuel confidence, action, and momentum, it also needs balance.

This Solar Plexus Smoothie is perfect when you're craving something that soothes your system, supports gut health, and gently energizes without overstimulation. It’s a blend of cooling, anti-inflammatory ingredients with warm golden tones—perfect for tapping into the solar plexus chakra, your energetic center of digestion, willpower, and personal power.

A cooling, anti-inflammatory smoothie to soothe your gut, awaken your power, and balance fiery summer energy from the inside out.

Solar Plexus 101: Why This Energy Center Matters

Your solar plexus chakra (the 3rd chakra) is located in your upper abdomen and is closely linked to digestion—both physical and emotional. It governs:

  • Willpower & confidence

  • Boundaries & personal power

  • Mental clarity & energy

  • Your ability to digest life, not just food

An underactive solar plexus can show up as bloating, sluggish digestion, low energy, or poor boundaries.
An overactive solar plexus may show as acid reflux, anxiety, perfectionism, or burnout.

We often forget that our gut is not just a digestion machine—it’s an emotional center. “Leaky gut” isn’t just about food—it can stem from leaky energy: overgiving, overdoing, oversharing, or ignoring your own needs.

To balance this chakra, we need to nourish not just our bodies, but our energy—and food is a beautiful way to do that.

Solar Plexus-Supportive Foods

Here are a few yellow, orange, and digestion-friendly foods that can support solar plexus healing:

  • Yellow fruits: bananas, mangoes, pineapple, papaya, golden apples

  • Orange veggies: carrots, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, pumpkin

  • Warming herbs/spices: ginger, turmeric, cinnamon

  • Fermented foods (if tolerated): sauerkraut, kimchi, coconut yogurt

  • Healthy fats: olive oil, coconut oil, ghee, pumpkin seeds

  • Herbal teas: chamomile, peppermint, ginger, lemon balm

Final Thoughts

This smoothie isn’t just about what’s in your glass—it’s a reminder to nourish your power, protect your energy, and slow down enough to really hear what your body is asking for.

Try this blend on a warm morning, after movement, or during a moment of reflection. Let it ground you, cool you, and bring you back to center.
